Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Screening in Mebane, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including common spaces, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and incident documentation while helping to deter unauthorized activity and support an orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
