Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Tablet Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants and visitors while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
