Job summary

Allied Universal in Monroe Township, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Afternoon to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, license preferred, and willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and check credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic around shipping and receiving operations and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
