Security Officer Full Time Access Verification

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.29 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Sun: 05:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, including entrances, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and site activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
