Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for students, employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue and collect access credentials, report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, parking, campus grounds, and perimeter areas.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Coordinator in Studio City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at an educational location, you will manage access control, greet students, staff, families, and visitors, verify credentials, and support badge procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, report security-related concerns, and help to deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for students, employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and report access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entrances, parking areas, campus grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and report hazards or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
