Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Access Control in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution construction location, you will help manage site entry, verify authorized personnel and vehicles, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site teams, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Operate access control and security-related systems, including cameras, alarms, and communication equipment, while documenting observations and incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
