Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer – Access Screening in Shippingport, PA. You will manage site entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will perform patrols, respond calmly to incidents, and collaborate with site personnel to enforce access procedures, all while upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, business operations, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and site personnel regarding access requirements and security procedures.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
