Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer – Full Time Access Control in Newville, PA to manage entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain security at a logistics and distribution location.

You will provide exceptional customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a visible security presence. The role includes responding to incidents and reporting concerns to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.77 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records.
• Control access to facility areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report access‑related concerns or policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
