Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to protect a chemical/petrochemical site in Mont Belvieu, TX. The role involves controlling access, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

This full-time position requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. You will work with a team to support site operations with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and document entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access concerns calmly and according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned points and perimeters to identify security concerns.
• Communicate with site personnel and leadership and complete required reports.

As a Security Officer Full Time in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and support site operations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, document visitor and contractor entry, and help maintain accurate access-control records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, complete required reports, and help support compliance with facility access requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
