Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Secure Access Operations in Mobile, AL. You will protect clients across industries by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and enforcing site policies, while maintaining professional communication with staff, visitors, and contractors.

Your role includes patrols, incident response, and collaboration with emergency responders to ensure a secure and efficient site operation in a chemical/petrochemical environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by performing access control procedures and following site policies.
• Monitor and control entry/exit points, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials and maintain access logs.
• Screen visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles and direct authorized individuals accordingly.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter areas and report any security concerns.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles as required, directing authorized individuals to designated areas and escalating access concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations within a chemical and petrochemical environment, reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
