Job summary

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking a Loss Prevention/Security Officer to keep guests and property safe while maintaining a welcoming environment. You will patrol on foot, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires flexible shifts (primarily first shift, with occasional second shift), de-escalation skills, and strong English communication. Benefits include meals, discounts, and 401k through Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• Read/write in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property and assets.
• Patrol premises on foot.
• Operate a dispatch center with key control, fire alarm monitoring, and CCTV monitoring, answering routine and emergency calls for service, and dispatching call for service.
• Perform proactive security, safety, and loss prevention practices.
• Investigate situations and write reports as necessary.
• Meet, greet, and assist guests and associates in a professional and calm manner.
• Witness cash drops and monitor cameras.
• Perform lost and found functions.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

What you will be doing:

What we are looking for:

• Primarily 1st Shift availability - Occasionally 2nd Shift availability is required.
• Knowledge of security, law enforcement, and de-escalation practices preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public.
• Ability to read/write in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work well both independently and with others as a team player and under pressure.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver's License highly preferred.
