Job summary

Securitas USA, Northbrook, IL is hiring a Security Officer to enforce regulations and maintain a safe environment for clients and visitors. The role includes access control, patrols, and reporting safety concerns across client sites.

Shifts are Mon-Fri: 7AM-3PM or 3PM-11PM with a starting wage of $21.00/hr. Requires HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Driver certified.
• Security experience preferred.
