Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a full-time Security Officer for the Southern Indiana/Louisville area, with 1:30pm-10:00pm or 1:30pm-2:00am shifts and some weekends. You will patrol Baptist property, enforce hospital regulations, and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff from our Security Department.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of relevant experience, valid driver's license, and BLS certification or training provided. EOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service or IAHS S certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Enforce hospital regulations and policies; monitor and patrol Baptist property.
• Report safety hazards and unusual occurrences to Security Supervisor.
• Investigate complaints or potential criminal conduct; restrain patients as necessary.
• Provide protective services for patients, visitors and employees.
