Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Front Desk Driver in Newton, NC. You will greet visitors, manage access control, badge processes, monitor alarms and deliver outstanding customer service at a manufacturing/industrial site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the job location state.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing passes, and maintaining records.
• Answer calls, provide site information, and communicate arrivals and access concerns to staff.
• Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and other security systems and report issues.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document events for site contacts and responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access to the manufacturing and industrial location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Answer and direct incoming calls, provide general site information, and communicate visitor arrivals and access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
