Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Front Desk Banking in Washington, DC. You will greet visitors, manage access, and provide outstanding customer service at a financial institution location, while deterring security incidents and maintaining a professional atmosphere.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $23.29 per hour. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and may undergo background checks and drug screening where permitted.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a financial institution location.
• Monitor access to the building, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel and visitors with entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific instructions and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or management.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including communication with first responders and coordination with site management.
• Provide information and assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
