Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Serve as a professional front desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying appointments/identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals per procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, entrances, and security-related systems; report maintenance concerns and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Portsmouth, NH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:30 PM - 08:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying appointments and/or identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals according to established procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, entrances, and security‑related systems, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific response procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a welcoming and orderly front desk environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
