Job Description

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and assisting with access control and badge procedures. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will remain visible at your post, supporting a welcoming and professional environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access to the location, greeting and assisting visitors as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any incidents that occur at the front desk.
• Communicate with site management and emergency services when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
