Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol area survey in Los Angeles, CA. You will provide excellent customer service, monitor and patrol the retail site, deter theft, and respond to incidents according to site procedures.

The role requires 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and adherence to background checks and drug screening where permitted. A Guard Card/license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Area Survey in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
