Job summary

GardaWorld Security is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Tampa, FL. The role emphasizes reading environments, anticipating risk, and acting accordingly while patrolling diverse locations such as retail, airports, and facilities.

The position is part-time (Saturday–Sunday 2PM–9PM) with a competitive wage of $17.00/hour. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, holidays, disability, life insurance, and uniform provided. Background checks/drug screening apply upon offer.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• First aid certification is an asset
• Must have Florida Class D Security License
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity and deter threats.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check proper functioning of alarms and cameras and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Report incidents and cooperate during investigations.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• Must have Florida Class D Security License
• Must be able to walk for extended periods of time
