Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Flex Patrol in Union, NJ. You will support client sites across diverse industries, perform patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents to help keep people and property safe.

Expect a dynamic schedule with 30–40 hours per week, varying shifts, and opportunities for career growth within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be available for varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last‑minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen per law.
• State/local licensing may be required.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions.
• Permit entry and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe and protect company property and ensure authorized removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
