Job summary

Hotel Equities, the Hilton Harrisburg property’s security team, is seeking a Security Officer to patrol interior and exterior areas, observe for risks, and respond calmly to emergencies to keep guests and staff safe.

You will monitor CCTV, answer the security hotline, assist guests with door issues, check bags, and follow procedures with clear English communication. Shifts vary, with an emphasis on vigilance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic patrol and observation skills.
• Effective verbal communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to listen and document information clearly.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to respond to alarms and emergencies calmly.
• Knowledge of building layout and life safety basics.
• Experience in hospitality security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of shift on foot patrol around the hotel to identify risks and observe conditions.
• Maintain order and assist guests with issues, coordinate emergency responses calmly.
• Answer the security hotline and respond to calls based on priority.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity to the supervisor.
• Communicate clearly in English and document incident details legibly.
• Assist with access control tasks, bag checks, and guest/employee escorts.
