Allied Universal in Washington, DC seeks a Security Officer Flex Site Coverage to protect client sites across industries. You will patrol areas on foot or by vehicle, respond to incidents, and support client needs with professional service, adapting to varied assignments and schedules.

The role offers 30–40 hours weekly with shifts chosen via our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program. Pay rate is $24.73 per hour, with opportunities for growth within a leading security and facilities services company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions if applicable.

• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.

Pay Rate: $24.73 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
