The Security Officer safeguards property by patrolling the premises and monitoring for theft, violence, safety issues, and/or disturbances through observation and reporting. The primary responsibility of the position is to deter crime through an authoritative presence.

Security Guard Job Requirements

• Effective communication in English, both oral and written
• Customer service orientation
• Critical thinking and sound judgment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations
• Visual and hearing acuity for observation
• Physical ability to perform activities like climbing, lifting, walking, standing long periods, etc.
• Meet and maintain all requirements of LEVEL II licensing, including passing a Criminal Background Check as per Texas DPS PSB

Security Guard Duties

• Provide visual security presence
• Conduct rounds to deter and detect intrusion, ensure doors, windows, gates are secure
• Inspect equipment and report irregularities
• Write reports on daily activities and incidents
• Respond to alarms and disturbances
• Contact emergency services as needed
• Inform persons of rule infractions
• Assist in emergency evacuations
• Control crowds as required
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Active Texas Driver's License
