Job summary

GardaWorld Security is hiring a casual Security Officer – Response in Oxnard, CA. You will vary activities by day, handling customer service, patrols, and surveillance to adapt quickly to each assignment.

Applicants must be flexible to work any day or shift including weekends (Day/Swing). A California BSIS Guard Card and a valid driver’s license are required; training can be provided during the hiring process. Uniform provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• State BSIS Guard Card and 32-hour training (or training available during hiring) helps.
• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to spot suspicious activity.
• Control access points and verify identities.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.

As a casual Security Officer – Response, your role will vary depending on the day and special event. Whether it’s customer service, patrols, or surveillance, we need you to adapt with agility and precision.

Responsibilities for Response Security Guard:

Qualifications for Response Security Guard:

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)


• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!


• You have a driver's license


• You have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security training can be obtained during the hiring process)
