Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Flex Healthcare Patrol in Indianapolis, IN. This is a Flex Part-Time role with a pay rate of $17.25 per hour. The schedule runs DayTime Thur 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, offering flexible shifts within a healthcare environment.

You will perform patrols, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure facility. Minimum requirements include at least one year of security-related experience, being 21+ years old,

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity or hazards per protocols.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel in accordance with established protocols.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to promote a secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as necessary to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
