Allied Universal in Lake Mary, FL is hiring a Security Officer - Flex Media Patrol to protect clients in tech/media/telecom settings. This flex part-time role lets you tailor your schedule via our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech/media location, you will monitor areas, interact with employees and visitors, and uphold safety with reliability and clear communication. Pay is $16.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or hazards.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and guests.
• Follow post orders and instructions from Allied Universal and site management.
• Support other security-related duties as assigned.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the tech, media, and telecom location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or guests to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Support other security-related duties as assigned based on the unique needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
