Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers for the Plainfield, IN area. All shifts and days are available. This position offers a starting pay of $18.50/hr with weekly pay.

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
• Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
• Able to work independently.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate information clearly and concisely in writing.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial for our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become available due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continuous, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting the health and work-life balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer differ from those of a fixed-post employee. As a flex:

• You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational needs. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks, this will not be a permanent assignment.
• Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational needs.
• You will be assigned to or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted, while others may require short-notice call-ins.
• You are expected to work any scheduled shift within your stated availability. If you are unavailable for an upcoming shift, you must inform your supervisor.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of assigned shifts may affect your employment status.

A Security Officer may perform duties as specified by Post Orders and SOPs. The officer must read, understand, and act quickly according to these directives.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.
