Job summary

FedEx is seeking an on-site Security Officer in Memphis, TN to protect individuals and property, prevent unauthorized access, and respond to emergencies. The role includes supporting security at special events and for executives, and coordinating VIP visits at corporate headquarters.

Candidates should have 2 years of college/equivalent or a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and 2 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of laws.

Minimum Education:

Minimum Experience:

• Two (2) years’ experience in law enforcement/military/security or aBachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations. Ability to successfully complete required training programs. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Job Conditions:

• If posted for Global Screening team, requirements include successful completion of cargo screening training and certification. Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Able to lift 50 lbs and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.

• This position will be onsite in Memphis, Tennessee.
