Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in New York to provide client-focused security services. You will uphold site policies, respond to incidents, and patrol designated areas while maintaining a professional presence.

The role emphasizes flexibility with fixed shifts and the option to claim additional shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings and experience across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Ability to work fixed shifts and to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, and participate in appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities through required reports and/or electronic reporting systems.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun – 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
