Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Brooklyn, NY. This role provides flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to earn more through claim-a-shift scheduling.

You will perform security duties, respond to incidents, and maintain logs. Requires NYS Security Guard License, high school diploma, and computer familiarity; CPR/First Aid preferred. Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and entrances to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with access control and report suspicious activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Licensed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 04:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 04:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
