Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Facility Entry in Lansing, MI. You will safeguard clients across healthcare and other facilities, monitoring entry points, greeting visitors, and responding to security concerns. Excellent customer service and a visible presence help deter incidents.

Position is full-time with pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Daytime shifts are available, and you will be part of a collaborative, caring team committed to safe, secure environments.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following security procedures and emergency response activities when needed.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain access records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly, coordinating with site personnel and responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, entrances, and perimeters to identify unusual activity and support security operations.
• Report access-control issues and suspicious activity per site procedures.

As a Security Officer Facility Entry in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
• Report access-control issues, suspicious activity, and facility concerns according to site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
