Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN seeks a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol to protect clients across retail and mall locations, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding guest service. You will enforce site policies and respond to incidents while partnering with a caring, team‑oriented culture.

The role is full-time with daytime to evening shifts and an hourly rate of $19.60.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-traffic entertainment and retail location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas to help identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and guest activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and help support a welcoming environment for patrons and employees.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
