Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in De Soto, KS to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sites. You will monitor premises, deter incidents with a visible presence, and deliver courteous service to employees, visitors, and vendors while enforcing access control per site procedures.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of security experience, are 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and can pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

• Mon: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Tue: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Wed: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM
• Thur: 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
