You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and deliver customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction of patients and visitors.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate with leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Site Patrol in Williamsburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and direction of patients and visitors in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
