Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Evening Concierge Patrol in New York. This part-time role offers fixed evening shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Duties include monitoring entrances, patrolling the site, responding to incidents, and enforcing site policies while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum age: 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required prior to employment.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, and assisting with emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to identify and report unusual activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities per site procedures.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, and assisting visitors and staff.

As a Security Officer – Evening Concierge Patrol, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to the location by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and assisting visitors, members, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
