Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Entry Screening in Oakland, CA. You will screen personnel, visitors, and shipments, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

This role offers a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $21.95 per hour. Minimum requirements include at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; a guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, shipments, and/or vehicles in accordance with site requirements and established access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify required credentials, documentation, and authorization before permitting entry to controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, loading areas, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:
