Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver (Part Time) in Charlottesville, VA. You will patrol utility locations, provide customer service, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and contractors following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and access points.
• Verify credentials and maintain visitor/contractor records at access points.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports and communicate handoffs.
• Support a secure environment and deter incidents through visible presence.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to utility location personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and access points; document observations and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
