As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms or other site needs. Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, substations, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
