Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Culpeper, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and deliver courteous service to residents and visitors while upholding site policies.

The role features a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform, with Thur 8 PM–8 AM and Fri 8 PM–8 AM shifts. A high school diploma, background check, and drug screening are required; prior customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control and directing guests.
• Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns and communicate to management.

Pay Rate: $19.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, assisting with access control and directing guests as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
