Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time) at our Chester, VA location. You will support access control, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence in a technology-focused facility.

Responsibilities include monitoring entry procedures, operating screening equipment, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background checks; CPR/First Aid and Guard Card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow entry procedures and verify IDs and credentials.
• Willingness to perform regular and random patrols and report observations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Checkpoint in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access, screening visitors and/or materials, and maintaining a professional, welcoming presence. You will communicate clearly, provide exceptional customer service, and help address security-related concerns through teamwork and integrity. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused facility by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established entry procedures; verify identification, credentials, and authorization before permitting access.
• Operate screening equipment and follow established protocols for prohibited or restricted items, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, entry points, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
