• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Mukilteo, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents and support daily operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue or collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Screen and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements and restricted-area protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
