Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring for Security Officer Entry Authorization in Dakota City, NE. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and help create a welcoming environment for employees and guests at a food and beverage location. The role is full-time with a pay rate of $19.72 per hour.

Shift schedule runs Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. Requirements include high school diploma, background check, drug screening, and valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials and issuing temporary badges.
• Observe vehicle traffic, coordinate access for deliveries, and report irregularities.
• Respond calmly to incidents following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of facility and perimeter as per location.

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in DAKOTA CITY, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use computer or tablet tools to document access-related activity, communicate professionally, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing temporary badges, and directing authorized individuals according to site procedures.
• Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic, coordinate access for deliveries and shipments, and report irregularities or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
