Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Visitor Reception in Albuquerque, NM. This role provides reliable hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts and increase earnings through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The position includes a fixed-shift commitment and potential to scale to up to 40 hours weekly, with benefits and ongoing paid training opportunities.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, front‑desk policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, reception‑area activity, and security‑related systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence at a technology‑focused location while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a positive visitor experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
