Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access screening procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings using screening equipment and document prohibited items as required.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery credentials before granting access to controlled areas and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Detection in Kansas City, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 10:30 AM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings in accordance with established procedures, using screening equipment and documenting prohibited or unauthorized items as required.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery credentials before permitting access to controlled areas, while maintaining accurate visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
