Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Weekend Patrol. This position offers fixed weekend hours at a designated site with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings as needed.

You will provide customer service to visitors and staff, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete daily activity reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Weekend Patrol in Memphis, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun – 07:45 AM - 12:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity at a cultural institution, reporting unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security‑related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
