Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Screening in Taylor, PA. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $18.73 per hour, with a work schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sundays. The position emphasizes reliability, customer service, and site-specific security procedures while supporting a full range of security operations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver entries, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
