Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Cleveland, OH. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra hours through our scheduling platform.

You will perform unarmed security at a commercial site, manage access control, monitor the area, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. Pay is $17.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points; verify visitor credentials.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

Job Schedule

• Sun – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or property concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points; verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site‑specific policies.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
