Job summary

Allied Universal in Buffalo, NY is seeking a part-time Enhanced Security Officer to provide dependable site coverage. You will perform unarmed patrols, control access points, and deliver professional customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and staff.

This role offers flexible hours with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings while gaining experience in a nationwide security leader.

Qualifications

• Requires unarmed Security Officer duties with site-specific procedures.
• Background check and drug screen in accordance with laws.
• Guard card or license preferred for candidate eligibility.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees at a logistics and distribution site.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, gates, parking areas, trailers, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Document observations and incidents in reports and communicate with site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Buffalo, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.41 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, vehicle gates, parking areas, trailers, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
