Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced for Part Time in Los Angeles, CA. This role provides flexible, dependable hours and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts across sites.

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following protocols.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities and communicate with leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Deterrence Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Saturday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, access points, parking areas, process areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and reporting protocols.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
