Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time with a DoD Secret Clearance for the ARLINGTON, VA area. The role offers flexible, fixed shifts with earning opportunities by taking additional shifts across sites.

The pay rate is $26.27 per hour, with a six-month anchor shift commitment and a platform to pick up extra hours for up to ~40 hours per week. The position requires a minimum of 2 years security experience, active clearance, and the ability to pass a background check and

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as per laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document observations for leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.

Job Schedule

• Fri 10:45 PM - 06:45 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
